I have several of my own, including a dehumanised workplace with New public management approaches,  faster throughput and acuity and complexity of patients needs with fewer qualified staff and fewer staff altogether.  Thanks for link to the Christina Patterson programme - very interesting and indeed harrowing- she describes a workforce with little or no empathy - although she also describes wide variation..... leadership and socialisation are critical.</description>
